Dialogues in Cardiovascular Medicine is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. The journal follows the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) in preventing plagiarism and other forms of research misconduct.

All submitted manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin before they are considered for peer review. Authors are also required to submit a Turnitin plagiarism report along with their manuscript at the time of submission. The Editorial Office independently verifies the originality of each submission before proceeding with the editorial evaluation.

The journal does not tolerate:

  • Direct plagiarism
  • Self-plagiarism or redundant publication
  • Duplicate submission
  • Mosaic or patchwork plagiarism
  • Improper citation or unattributed use of published material
  • Data or image plagiarism

If significant plagiarism or unethical overlap is detected, the manuscript may be rejected without peer review or returned to the authors for clarification or revision, depending on the severity of the issue. If plagiarism is identified after publication, the journal will take appropriate action, including publishing corrections, issuing retractions, or notifying the authors' institutions when necessary, in accordance with COPE guidelines.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all submitted work is original, properly cited, and free from plagiarism. The journal encourages ethical writing practices and expects all contributors to uphold the highest standards of research integrity.
